Our Approach
We look at many parts of your life, work with your natural supports and build a plan around your goals, using methods grounded in research.

Three Steps
Consultation, intervention, healing.
- 1
Consultation
A free Let’s Talk call to meet your therapist, ask questions and talk about what you need.
- 2
Intervention
In your first sessions, we identify the approach that best fits your experiences, challenges and concerns.
- 3
Healing
Once your goals are agreed, your therapist supports your healing and refines the plan along the way.
Methods
The tools we use most.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
Practical, structured work on the links between thoughts, feelings and actions. Strong evidence for anxiety, depression and trauma.
Trauma-focused CBT
A trauma-specific form of CBT that helps you process memories safely and reduce symptoms like avoidance and nightmares.
Dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) skills
Skills for mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and relationships.
Solution-focused therapy
A brief, hopeful approach that builds on your strengths and what already works.
Narrative therapy
Helps you see the problem as separate from you, and tell your story in a way that opens new possibilities.
Person-centred, trauma-informed care
Warmth, respect and choice, so therapy feels safe from the first session.
Measuring Progress
You should be able to see change.
We use short, standard questionnaires, called outcome measures, to track how you’re doing over time. They help you and your therapist see progress and adjust the plan.
For clients whose care is funded by an insurer, outcome measures also show the evidence that Care-First and other programs ask for.
