For Case Managers, Adjusters, Physicians & Brokers
When a collision affects someone’s mental health, an early referral gets them assessed, documented and into evidence-based care. Once their plan is approved, our clinicians provide the therapy and send progress reports with outcome measures.

When To Refer
Signs to watch for & three questions to ask.
Ask it as routine: “Many people have a reaction after a collision.”
Signs to watch for
- Avoiding driving, or riding as a passenger
- Nightmares or memories of the crash that won’t stop
- Poor sleep since the collision
- Pain or distress that outlasts your physical progress
- Low mood, irritability or pulling away from people
- Feeling on edge, jumpy or easily startled
- A slow or stalled return to work or school
Three questions
- Since the collision, are you avoiding driving or being a passenger?
- Are memories of the collision, or worry about it, affecting your sleep or your day?
- Is pain, mood or stress keeping you from work or your usual activities?
A yes to any question is a reason to refer. These are check-in questions, not a diagnostic tool.
How To Refer
Three steps.
- 1
Ask the three questions
A yes to any of them is enough. Ask permission to share the person’s details with us.
- 2
Send the referral
Use the form below, or email letstalk@bethesdathera.com with the person’s name, phone number, collision date and claim number.
- 3
We take it from there
We contact the person, help line up their first mental health assessment, start therapy once the plan is approved and keep you updated with their consent.
Referral Form
Refer someone in two minutes.
Please confirm the person has agreed to be referred before you send their details.
Prefer email? Send the same details to letstalk@bethesdathera.com. Questions: 587-871-4888.
Care-First Ready Sessions
Free training that puts mental health on the claim from day one.
Thirty minutes for claims teams and brokerages, fifteen for physicians and nurse practitioners, virtual or in person. We cover what Care-First covers for mental health, when a referral is needed, how to ask, and how to refer in three steps. Every attendee leaves with role-specific cards, our one-pager, a Q&A sheet, a direct contact and a Care-First Ready certificate.
The certificate recognizes attendance at an educational session. It is not a professional credential.
